I love playing with any material or creating a container and transform them to a floral vessel.

Vintage / rustic style is loved by some of my wedding couples, especially for those who have
an outdoor wedding.
Birdcage is definitely one of the key decoration and matching perfectly with fresh flowers.

It may be a bit difficult to creating layers within a small space of this container....
but it definitely worths all the sweats in creating layer and layer of flowers.....
in and out...
above and below....
students brought their masterpieces home with a smile !

No doubt of putting it at a corner your home if you are fancy of anything in good old time.
tick tock tick tock...
the time seemed stop for a couple of minute when my eyes could not stop gazing into them....

Do you know where these big blooms of peonies are from in this time?
Picture
Every Spring, we could get peonies from Israel !
Each with numerous of petals to give the fullness of the bloom !

Blessed I had a bouquet workshop in this season with a flower type that I love,
but less use in my clients' weddings - it is Mimosa !
If you have ever smelt it before, you would definitely fall for its light sweet scent !
Another great choice of candle from Diptyque ! (I didn't get a penny for advertising !)

We have all kinds of fragrant floral material in this workshop, Narcissus, mimosa, sweet peas, freesia….
Any your favorite in here ?

Saying hello to the Spring !
It's our flower box workshop again in this beautiful March, with nice & a bit chill weather (still).
We had a variety of pastel color flowers…. just too adorable !

Instead of bounding these flowers in a container, we let them flee from the box,
it is definitely more interesting to arrange flowers in layers and layers……

I like making some variation in my workshops, (see my previous wood box class)
with the use of different flowers in the 4 different seasons is just too much fun !

What's next in our April workshops ?
Will be announced after my Osaka trip 2 weeks later ! Yay !

Spring is just around the corner !

It's our favorite season of all kinds of flowers blooming again !
Our first workshop in this Spring series is " In love with Tulips".
Lucky we got more variety of Tulips in Hong Kong in recent years, and
it's just amazing to see the little different of each variety.
Look at those double colors ones (actually they are more watercolor like),

and those with feather edge (double colors also) !
Picture
Picture
I like flowers in line form with airy blooms such as sweet peas and lace flowers……
they are definitely the most dreamy one in the world.

Students handled very well with all these fragile flowers !
Everyone will love this Tulip bloom arrangement, they are cheerful and lively !
And will it make you forget the humidity in our early Spring a bit ? :D

Sweetpeas and freesia help making the arrangement elegantly !
and sometimes I like the hanging down tulips !
Picture

Picture
How about some small blooms sneaking out from the side ?
These subtle ones make the whole arrangement more interesting :)

Chinese New Year workshop 2015

Happy Chinese New Year to all of you on this Nin Chor 3 !
Let us share some of the photos during the classes.
You will be seeing a bunches of Japanese sakura blossoming;
Picture

and Japanese sweet peas in TWO colors !
Picture
How about these red+yellow glorisa ? Festive enough ?

We have selected an interesting container to present our flowers in an elegant way, love it ?
I love arranging flowers in layers and layers... not as a big bunch.
So you will see individual bloom in any angle, and they will show their beauty without covering by others.
This is flower arrangement.

I like amaryllis especially during CNY, they substitue Gladiolus 劍蘭 as the tallest flower among all the
others, giving the meaning of 步步高升! We use Farrari Red amaryllis to give the highlight.

The 2 past November workshops were definitely the sweetest one, we had got different baby pink fresh flowers & everyone made a sophisticated hand-tied bouquet !

Syringa is another amazing flower I love to use in my arrangements, the small clusters of white flowers give textures to the bouquet ! They smell good too !

Recap from a couple of students that the refreshing fragrance of the garden roses fulfilled their room,
what is better than waken up by the aroma of fresh flowers !!!

In the wood box workshop, gorgeous baby pink peonies from New Zealand were use !
They are comparatively fewer in the market; whenever I see them, I just cannot resist & grab a brunch home!

During the class, everyone got to learn the treatment of different flowers,  as well as the handling of flowers when working with floral foam. Once you master the techniques, you can create arrangements with your unlimited creativity ! I, myself, fell for this wood box arrangement, & seems it's the sweetest one so far :D

Our first ever held bridal bouquet workshops were definitely meaningful & fun filled to us.

I do not want to set a beginner/ advance level to our participants, instead many useful skills & secrets in bridal bouquet making were shared, which could be applied to different aspects of floral arrangements.
Golden rule : Practice makes perfect !
I hope everyone enjoy the workshops but also practice more in the future !
We will definitely open more bouquet workshops in the future.

In these 3 workshops we had adopted different combination of Garden Roses for making bouquets  :
Juliet + O'hara + Bridal Piano + Patience
which one is your favourite ?

Together with other premium flowers, all of the participates created gorgeous bouquets !

Our first 2 workshops of floral experience were successfully held last weekend.
Grateful to see those smiley faces with their gorgeous arrangements.
Hope my sharing would inspire someone anyhow & encourage them to have more floral touch later on !

During the first workshop, students created their own container with tree barks.
Love the holes & features on the tree barks, so every piece has it's own character !
Can I say the piece is Rustic Elegance ?
Picture

Some of the students are the beginners to flowers, but they all did extraordinary great !
Picture
In the second workshop, we created a sumptuous home arrangement with 10 kinds of seasonal flowers : Hydrangeas, dahlias, double tulips, nerines, ranunculus, spray roses, Miss piggy roses, Garden Rose Patience.....
Picture

The layers of flowers flowing on the dinning table will certain make you bon appétit :P

A little thought about the workshops from Ashley:
These 2 workshops were the first workshops we ever held, each workshop may be a little bit too intensive, everyone was busy with their own creations during the whole time !
I didn't get a chance to talk to everyone of you ! This is something I feel pity......
On the other hand, I do have a great proud to all of the students who created fabulous pieces and brought them back home !

We are planning to arrange 2 more workshops on October 11 and 12.
Bridal bouquet or arrangement ?  Let us know if you are interest !

More details will be announced very soon, stay tune !
